hostas for containers?
I plan on growing hostas in containers and want 1 big solid leaf one with smaller striped surrounding. I don’t have much ground. This would be against a blue wall with alot of shade. I also want to add inpatients & caldiums. Does this sound pretty and what varieties of hosta are good? I don’t want blue leaves and am considering ” patriot” “so sweet”"or the “tiara’s” for smaller ones
so what would be a good big hosta with leaves to compliment smaller ones & caladiums?? Thanks for the suggestion of not putting striped hosta with colorful caladuims, didn’t consider that!
If you want to mix Hosta and Caladium together be careful with the colors, if you have variegated hosta, you better pick single colored Caladium or the other way around but don’t plant both that have multi-colored foliage in the same container.
I usually plant hosta and impatiens in the same planters. Another planter for Caladium and impatiens. Prettier that way.
I love Hosta Patriot never get tired of them.
