I have a few of these plants (pictured) around my house & tons of bees swarm them…?
I am concerned for my toddler son b/c he wants to play with the bees 
Is there any way to get rid of the bees without getting rid of the plants?

That plant is a Sedum (stonecrop) a hardy, drought tolerant plant. It could be the variety called ‘Autumn Joy’ but I’m not 100% certain since there are so many. Here is some information:

I don’t have any ideas, other than removing the plants, on how to remove the bees. They are doing what they need to do and I don’t think you can stop mother nature! I understand your concern for you son, just stay near him and explain each and every time that those are not the type of things you play with. I have to do that with my 5 and 2 yr. olds when we visit gardens with poisonous plants. It takes time but they do get it. Good luck!
